Alta Vista Community Charter School is an extraordinary organization of experiential learning, built upon a foundation of partnership among our Governance Council, students, exceptional staff, highly involved families, and supportive district authorizer.
Our founders chose the charter school model because of a deeply held belief not only that schools should be accountable for student learning, but also that infusing learning with real-life experiences would cultivate successful, responsible and valuable citizens. Experiential education has been at the heart of my work in education since founding my first charter school in 2005. I am honored to be a part of the exceptional group of educators, paraprofessionals and staff members at Alta Vista.
New student enrollment for the 2017/18 school year starts with submitting a Request for Admission Form to our school office. Although the 2017/18 enrollment lottery has already taken place and some of our grade levels have wait lists, we know that spaces sometimes open up as families make their final enrollment decisions in August. To inquire about available space in your child's grade, please call the office at 530.885.7067.
Alta Vista Community Charter School welcomes Requests for Admission from all students residing in Placer, Nevada, El Dorado, Sacramento, Sutter and Yuba Counties, including immigrant students and students who are not U.S. citizens. Click here for details about our enrollment and lottery processes.
